I will never get a joule jumper because I heard that they can break easy
because it is on thin strain! So yeah! :)

Honestly, the moby wrap. It works for so many mamas but it was just a
hassle for me. I loved it once I got it on but it took me like fifteen
minutes of struggle and situating to get it.

    i would say socks aren’t really pointless…

I regret buying burp cloths. They’re just too small and the spit-up just
ran down the side of my shoulder. I prefer to fold a receiving blanket and
use that instead (esp since I don’t swaddle)

Thanks so much for this list, it is so refreshing to see that not all the
things you are told you ‘need’ for baby are necessary. Also good advice
about buying bottles! My partner and I are going to ttc for the first time
in four or five days so I really love watching your vidoes and learning
things that will be useful to me when we have a baby.

those pre swaddled blankets are a lifesaver for me! my son is a little
houdini and gets out of everything! we have to wrap him with a cot blanket
and put the swaddle blanket over the top! haha

I regret buying cute but unpractical baby clothes, most went into a box
with the labels still on them!

Living in colorado, baby socks are a must, also i will put my 3 month old
in his little shoes sometimes and he needs socks for those too.

You lucky you live in California so you don’t really have to worry about
socks, but in Minnesota we need them! But my kids always have Mitch match
bc the get lost or take them off inside lol

Only thing I disagree with is the baby socks. lol But that could be
location based. Being in Ontario, Canada its usually very necessary for
    socks. lol

I agree with everything the socks didn’t help me as much either my boys
took them off I just got an outfit with the feet attached to them much
    easer

    Our 2 kids, a boy and a girl, L O V E D their JOHNNY-JUMP-UP. It was the
saddest day when they got too big for it. It fit really well in our old
Queen- Anne-Victorian- style- house, between kitchen and dining room SO
there was a big audience for it and THERE was lots of stimulation and J O Y
ALL AROUND. hIGHLY reccommend but modern houses(less than 60 y.o). don’t
have the right, above the door size and shape that is needed.

Bottle warmers r great if you run it under water that wastes water and take
longer my baby sis had one and it took only two minutes

I loooved the ‘Swaddler’ My daughter loved being swaddled, but had to be
swaddled SUPER tight, and the blankets just didn’t cut it. I could never
get them tight enough. I only did this to help her fall asleep. After she
was asleep I would loosen it up.

Absolutely agree about the bottles! I bought to many bottles when I was
pregnant with my son and alot of them caused wind. Another thing is the re
useable nappies, I bought about 20 of them and only used them a handful of
times because disposable was so much easier! Next time round I will be
trying to use them alot more though:)

I have to say that I like having a diaper genie. Just makes it easier for
me. And I would have to say socks are must have!!!! Feet are the easiest
thing to get cold!! Especially living in the midwest or anywhere that it
gets cold! I also love my bottle warmer since my son never latched and I
exclusively pump! I’ve tried many though and love the ones that you have
fill up the water reservoir once and it last a couple bottles.
I think the pointless thing to buy is a crib set! Just get a sheet and a
bumper (if you prefer one) Saves you a lot of money!

I’ll start by saying my twins are only a bit over a month old right now.

We’re using a diaper genie in the baby room (they share a room) and I have
to change its bag every 3 days or so. While I agree that’s often to have
to change it and you only get about 4 bags out of a refill, when I squeeze
a bit of the air out of the full bag before closing it, WOW does it stink.

Pro-tip #1, shake the diaper genie so the diapers settle to the bottom and
fill the bag. The first “filling” I did not do this and I think only about
half the diapers made it appear full.
Pro-tip #2, once the bag is retied for the next usage, pull it out of the
refill cartridge a bit so the diapers can spread out before the weight
drags it to the bottom of the can.

We’re also using the wipe warmer. At 4am, we’re happy with it. Using the
wet wipes to start, we’ve never had to add water and they’ve never dried
    out.

I agree completely on the socks, even though I live in New England where
it’s pretty cold right now. The socks just fall off way too easily and the
babies fuss too much to get them back on. News flash, babies at or under 3
months have a developing circulatory system and their blood goes first to
vital organs. After 3 months, their hands/feet will become warmer. Feel
their chest to determine if they’re actually cold before cranking the
    thermostat.

The diaper genie was the most useless item ever, especially if you put the
insert in upside down lol and I never used our baby bath tub

I like watching video’s like this cause it helps those with out kids kinda
figure things out, I do personally want a wipe warmer just to try it
really, actually I might get one now and try it out on my Charmin wipes and
see how it works, might be fun.
Bottle warmer is killing me because I want to pump my breast milk and I’ve
heard most baby’s like it warm, so either I’ll get the warmer first and
test it out before birth or get it after if just sticking the bottle
between by breasts doesn’t work. I have hot boobs and I’ve heard after
birth there even hotter for some women.
I agree that the car organizer is not worth it.
I think I may still try the swaddling, some times it’s the fabric they
don’t like, that’s what my mom says happened with me and baby dresses.
I agree with baby robes, but there so cute!
I plan to put my kids in onesies with feet like forever so I don’t need
socks, cause after a few months if I have a daughter I’m just gonna use
    baby tights or leggings.
Door jumpers are just dumb. A Mamaroo and or a Rockaroo form 4Mom’s is
better. I loved my swing as a baby.
The Bottle thing is a great idea, but I’ve watch things where really they
just force the baby to use the bottle, mostly because their not used to it
or they’ve been feeding on mom directly and don’t like the fake nipple.
Personally I’m gonna dip the bottle nipple in to some of the milk if I can
so my son or daughter in the future gets an idea as to whats coming.

Boppy pillow didn’t work for me, it was too much of a hassle cause it never
seemed to be close by when my baby wanted to nurse.

A change table. It’s main purpose was to look pretty lol. It was just a
pain to have to keep walking into my daughters room just to change her bum.

She didn’t say anything about people sending her these things through the
mail! She said she regrets BUYING them or asking for them on her baby
registry. You don’t return something to someone who bought you a shower
gift and tell them you just “didn’t like it!” That’s just asinine. Maybe
you should READ the title of the video instead of worrying about how other
    comments weren’t spelled correctly.
